When I first joined the Roots to Fruits programme, I was walking through a deeply difficult season in my faith. Personal and professional challenges had left me feeling spiritually dry and disconnected from God. Although a friend highly recommended the programme, I was hesitant. I wondered, “What difference could eight sessions really make?”

I had previously tried secular coaching programmes, and while they helped for a time, their impact never seemed to last beyond the particular season I was in. By the time I discovered Roots to Fruits, I felt exhausted, discouraged and stretched in every direction. I was constantly pouring into others without leaving any room for myself. Frustration and resentment had also begun to take root because it seemed that no matter how hard I tried, nothing was working out.

I joined the programme with few expectations, but I am so grateful that I did.

Aiden was an encouraging and insightful coach whose guidance was always grounded in Scripture. One of the most powerful lessons I learned was how to view seasons of wilderness through a different lens; not as evidence of failure, but as opportunities for growth and deeper dependence on God instead. Through studying the journey of the Israelites and their forty years in the desert before entering the Promised Land and reflecting on Joseph's journey from slave to second in command in Egypt. I gained a fresh appreciation for God's timing and the importance of waiting faithfully on Him. That there is a difference between delay and waiting and trusting in His timing leads to fruitfulness.

Another area where the programme had a powerful impact was in helping me understand and establish healthy boundaries from a Christian perspective. I learned that true boundaries are not built from fear, guilt, or self-protection, but from love. The kind of love that flows from the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. This understanding has given me greater confidence and freedom in setting boundaries while remaining compassionate toward others.

Perhaps the most transformative lesson from the Roots to Fruits programme was discovering my identity in Christ. Aiden's book, called This Is Love, Not Religion, was instrumental in that journey. The chapters on Identity, Boundaries, Purpose, Love, and Fruitfulness particularly resonated with me and challenged me to rethink where I was finding my values and sense of worth. Using this book along with the Ailey app helped inspire me to rethink my purpose and focus on the identity I have through Christ.

I came to realise that my confidence cannot be built on the opinions of others; it must be rooted in what God says about me. He is the Rock in whom I find shelter, strength, and security. When my life is founded on His Word, I stand on solid ground rather than sinking into the quicksand of circumstances or looking for the approval of others.

I would definitely recommend the Roots to Fruits programme to anyone navigating a difficult season, whether personally or professionally. If you are looking for Biblically grounded guidance, practical wisdom, and a deeper understanding of your identity in Christ, then this programme is a truly valuable investment in both your faith and personal growth.

I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with you. Today has given me the fuel I need, more direction and more clarity.

Without your coaching, I’d probably be crashing out a lot more, wondering, ‘What on earth is happening?’ It has been very helpful.
